The Panasonic Lumix G1 is the world first Micro 4/3 Lens Camera.
“What does that mean Nate?”
Well, in all older SLR cameras the camera had a mirror box that would reflect what was seen through the lens up to the viewfinder so the photographer could look through and capture his image perfectly. With the Panasonic Lumix g1 this mirror box was removed and replaced with a small lcd screen. This allowed the SLR to become much more compact.
Now there are two companies that have adapted this new lens standard. Olympus has been working on a micro 4/3 point and shoot while Panasonic has come out with the Lumix g1 (and also the GH1 that has the ability to shoot HD video)
So now I have this beautiful new micro 4/3 SLR camera that I can go out and take amazing photographs with as well as do professional photo shoots.

Today I stumbled across an interesting website: The Million Dollar Homepage
What a great idea! This site creator made a web advertising space that was 1,000 pixels square and sold each pixel for $1. So to have a 10×10 spot (smaller than the size of my tiny little icon next to my page up there in the browser) you had to pay $100. Then to purchase larger pixel areas you just add another $100 for each 10×10 square. Well with 1,000,000 available pixels selling for $1 each the total value of that small single page is one million dollars. Such a simple idea, so easy to create! And now the creator is a millionaire with very little effort applied. Genius!
New study shows that lesbians…

A new study today shows that lesbians increase web traffic by 250% They are also fun to watch! Thats right, nothing gets people to your website faster for a few seconds to oggle (not google) a picture of two beautiful girls wrapped in each others embrace. Isn’t it cute! You know, last night I realized that there is an abundance of lesbians in the world today. Thats right, there are a LOT! In fact there are very few girls I have EVER met that haven’t fooled around with another girl or were atleast “bi-curious.” So I begin to wonder, why are there so many gays and lesbians today. Have they just always been around and only been accepted recently? Or could it be that us men have just been jerks to too many undeserving women. This is a possibility, but my theory is overpopulation. Thats right OVERPOPULATION. Mother nature (Gaia) knows that there are too many of us. The planet is grossly overpopulated and if everyone keeps reproducing there isn’t going to be much room left to breathe. So mother nature in all her wisdom found a simple solution to make some of us stop reproducing.
So next time you see two beautiful girls held tightly in each others arms be sure to thank mother nature…. and then go impregnate both of them!
WordPress vs Blogger

I’m currently working on updating my blog and upgrading to wordpress. Please bear with me as I make the switch and stay tuned for more interesting and exciting posts!!!
“Why switch to WordPress?”
Well I’m glad you asked, originally I was using a website called blogger to publish my blog. I like blogger initially because it made setup easy and would FTP and automatically update pages for me when I made new postings. The problem that arose as my postings increased in number was that the blogger category system doesn’t make much sense. WordPress allows me to customize categories and subcategories to make the site easier to navigate for you! WordPress is also full of useful widgets and plugins. It lets me create a blog that is easy to navigate through my random content and very user friendly.
My blogger experience was overall quite enjoyable. They make the template easy for you to setup and modify with very little effort. Unfortunately the customization of blogger templates and themes was very technical. If you have your blogger site hosted on your own domain (as I did) then you cannot install widgets! The only way to update components of you blog was to do it manually in the code. Being a tech savvy individual this was not too difficult for me to do but I foresee it being an issue for a less experienced individual.
WordPress is installed onto your server. It uses PHP and SQL to maintain an updated and dynamically integrated website. It allows you to customize just about everything you can imagine and you can also download a large variety of plugins, widgets and templates. I found an excellent website for getting WordPress templates and downloaded several templates from there to customize later. I also searched through the 4,000 available WordPress plugins and found the best few worth downloading.
All In 1 SEO Pack – This plugin allows you to customize and integrate your META data with your blog. Definitely worth downloading, installing and configuring.
Buy Me A Beer – Lets you put a link at the bottom of your posts to allow people to donate money to you. I set it up so that people can donate money to help me replace my stolen laptop.
Contact Form 7 – Lets you create forms for your website. For example Contact Me
Events Calendar – Allows you to update an events calendar so your viewers can stay on top of upcoming events! (coming soon!)
FM Tuner – Integrates your LastFM radio with your blog template! (coming soon!)
Google Site Map Generator – If you don’t know what a site map is I recommend googling it. This plugin creates one for you automatically!
Share This – Allows people to email your posts to others as well as spread the word through a number of social networking sites including MySpace, Facebook and Digg.
WordPress Reports – If you own your website and your not using Google Analytics or another traffic reporting service I HIGHLY recommend you set it up. This plugin integrates your traffic reports with your WordPress dashboard so you can easily monitor your site traffic.
Lightbox 2.0 for WordPress – I like this plugin alot! It makes it really easy to integrate light box with any link your using on your page simply by including this code in the tag: rel=”lightbox”
WordPress E-Commerece – I haven’t setup this plugin or got it working yet but it definitely looks like its worth the time to figure out.
WordPress Greet Box – Lets you to configure a custom greeting box for users based on how they found your website. Very cool plugin!
Suscribe2 – Lets readers sign up to receive email updates on new blog postings.

How To Make One Million Dollars….

So its a NEW YEAR! (yaaaaayyy!) and my new years resolution was to make
ONE MILLION DOLLARS
so now you ask “hey Nate, how do you expect to make a million dollars”
to which I reply “It Simple!”
Let me break it down for you all like this:
If you get 1,000,000 people to each give you $1.00, then you have ONE MILLION DOLLARS!
how do you do that? well thats the tricky part, but you know you can simplify it like this:
if PEOPLE (give me) MONEY = I’m a MILLIONAIRE!
or in mathmatical terms: x $ = $1,000,000
so for example: instead of getting a dollar from a million people I simply get $20 from 500,000 people then
BLING BLING
I’m RICH!
Or Quicker yet, if I can get $1,000 from 1,000 people then I’ll be RICH!
or BETTER YET!
if I just get $500,000 from 2 PEOPLE! thats right, only TWO people…
THEN I’ll BE A MILLIONAIRE!
See, when I break it down like that its just not that difficult! Right!?!

Lavalumps and reality… mixed with a little techno beat

Have you ever thought about how lavalamps are a metaphor for reality. Two types of matter being affected by energy to create infinite combination of possibilities. Shapes are created as the substance collides with itself and it can take on many forms. It is also constantly changing. Yet even though all this energy is creating these visually stimulating effect it is still contained in a jar. The amount of matter in the container remains the same. It is a varying constant. Always changing, yet never changing. Reality is so full of contradictions and variances, yet it still remains constant. But what if I told you that everything both exists and doesn’t exist at the same time… that every question has been asked and yet no questions have ever been asked and the answer is both true and false. What if I told you that the only thing holding reality together is the ego…
Or maybe I just stared at the lava lamp a little too much….
LOL
So anyway, this weekend was AWESOME!
Parker setup the visuals for Crystal Method at Sky Lounge. And what an awesome show that was! Then we went to a warehouse party and setup visuals there as well. It also looks like we have a venu to setup the aMAZEing 3D show in Austin! And lots and lots of people are interested in helping. The 8D crew website is underway and will hopefully be up and running by early next year. Oh and then Sunday I went to the coolest party EVER! It was a burlesque show thrown by The Enchanted Forest with the theme of black and red, my favorite colors! They had fire dancing, half naked girls everywhere and free drinks. The crew setup out there and we got some amazing footage to cut together for a DVD that will hopefully be available early next year! (I will keep ya’ll posted!) So now its Monday, I’m exhausted… about to get off work…
whew…
oh yeah, one more thing…. I’m really tired of picking up strippers. It seems everywhere I go I end up getting the strippers number and I’m really tired of it. I have some really good friends that work at clubs and I love them very much (the friends, I don’t usually frequent strip clubs myself) but DAMN IT, can’t I just meet a beautiful, sexy, wild, fun girl who ISN’T a stripper for ONCE! Its like a curse!
